Chris Taylor

Firm Founder

Chris Taylor formed the law firm of Taylor Oballa Murray Leyland LLP in March 2006. He has been dubbed by Time Magazine as one of Canada’s “movers and shakers who are building the entertainment industry” and Billboard Magazine repeatedly cites him as one of the country’s most influential entertainment lawyers. Chris has developed a deep list of industry contacts around the world and he has extensive expertise in solicitation, re-negotiating contracts, and brokering agreements for clients.

In addition to the law firm, Chris started independent music company Last Gang, which helped to launch the careers of Metric, Death From Above 1979, and Crystal Castles, among many others. Last Gang has sold millions of albums worldwide.

In 2016, Chris sold the law firm to the current TOML partners and sold Last Gang to Entertainment One (eOne) and took the position of Global President of eOne’s music division. Today he is the CEO of Hall of Fame Artists, a music management firm based in Los Angeles.
